UntitledCourse Length: 2 days (8:30am - 4:30pm)
Class Description: This course is designed for analysts that want to learn how to apply data science processes and principles within Power BI. We leverage the latest DoD acquisition cost and programmatic data sources to teach Power BI best practices for building data models and visualizations. Students will receive hands on experience in extracting authoritative data, shaping, transforming, and importing data into Power BI, modeling the relationships between various data sources, creating reports and visualization, and building dashboards.
We empower students to analyze the new FlexFile and IPMDR data sources in Power BI, elevating our understanding of contractor costs to a whole new level. We explore the nuances of the policies and data formats that may impact data usage. The combination of Power BI basic skills and an understanding of the data formats will help you hit the ground running in your data science pursuits.
After attending the Power Analytics for DoD Cost Analysts course, an analyst will be able to utilize Power BI to create cost data models and generate powerful visualizations and dashboards.
